Aloha Surfrider Volunteers!
We are excited to announce our first beach cleanup of the year at Oneula Beach, in Ewa on January 31st from 10-12. We'll start checking you in at 9:30 and lunch will follow. This cleanup will be part of a statewide effort that focusses on upcoming State legislation aiming to curb the amounts of cigarette butts, EPS foam pieces, plastic bags, and plastic particles that contaminate our beaches and near shore resources. So, after you join us this weekend for our Civics IS Sexy workshop to understand how to navigate the legislative process and empower our communities to make sustainable change, then join us on January 31st to get your hands dirty and clean the beach! We will have big groups joining us from 808 Cleanups, Pacific Air Cargo, Aloha Contract Services, Energy Excelerator, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and local school groups.
Bring a friend who has never been to a cleanup and get involved with the new year of Surfrider events and campaigns. You can RSVP for this event on our Facebook Invite Page Here.
