A Fundraiser for Surfrider Foundation’s Oahu Chapter at the Hawai‘i Polo Club
August 2nd 2015, 12:30-7:30
An international event as the Indian team challenges the Hawai‘i Polo Club on their beautiful ocean front Mokuleia fields on Oahu’s famous North Shore. We want you to dress the part, with men fitting the suave theme, while women are encouraged to honor our Indian guests with colorful saris. A contest will be held between the two matches for the best dressed.
Guests can purchase $35 VIP tickets, providing access to a special VIP tent with heavy pupus, a complimentary beverage, and premier tented seating close to the action. VIP guests will have the chance to mingle with and take photos with players from both the Hawai‘i and Indian sides. VIP area seating is limited to 150. General Admission tickets are also available for $15 (includes $3 donation from normal polo gate prices) and are for open seating around the perimeter of the field with access to Hawai‘i Polo master chef Elmer Guzman’s menus and bar.
The Surfrider Foundation will have a volunteer staff educating about the Oahu chapter’s mission, campaigns, and upcoming events. All guests will have the opportunity to talk story with the foundation, participate in the silent auction, and purchase event posters or t-shirts. Two well-renowned Hawai‘i artists, Dennis Mathewson & Jim Warren, have generously donated images for the event. “Wild Waters” by Mr. Warren is the event promotional image, while Mr. Mathewson will be launching a new art print directly relating to the Surfrider mission and will be there to sign special edition posters.
Proceeds from tickets, art, and silent auction items go towards furthering the mission of Surfrider Oahu – protecting the beaches, oceans, and waves of our amazing island ecosystems.
We must send out a huge mahalo to a collective of generous partners & sponsors: The Hawai‘i Polo Club, Pacific Air Cargo, Wy's Galleries & the Equus Hotel. This group has been instrumental in the development of this great day on the North Shore. Cheers for your efforts and dedication to helping Surfrider Oahu further its mission.
