INTERNATIONAL SURFING DAY BEACH CLEANUP ON JUNE 21st

In celebration of International Surfing Day (ISD), Surfrider Oahu Chapter will kick off the summer by hosting a beach cleanup at Diamond Head with First Hawaiian Bank, on Saturday, June 21st, 9:30am-11:30am.  Lunch, prizes and entertainment will be provided afterward at Kapiolani Park from 12:00-1:00pm.

Founded by the Surfrider Foundation and SURFING Magazine, ISD unites wave-riders worldwide and encourages ocean enthusiasts to help protect our oceans and beaches by participating in family-friendly events.  This year not only marks the 10th anniversary of ISD, with almost 200 events in 30 countries, but it is also the 30th anniversary of the Surfrider Foundation.  Since its inception, International Surfing Day participants have removed more than 70 tons of trash from our coastlines, and thousands have joined or renewed their Surfrider memberships.  This year, Surfrider is also hosting a My Special Place contest on Instagram.
