Honolulu, Oahu (August 30th, 2010): Our monthly potluck-style meeting will be held this Wednesday, September 1st, from 7-9pm at 731 10th Avenue in Kaimuki. We're going to have Gibi DelBarrio talk to us about the importance of Social Media and non profit organizations and north shore artist (and 2009 John Kelly Award winner) Bill Braden will talk to us about the POSSE (Protect our Surf Sites and Environment) project. We'll also talk our upcoming September beach cleanup, the 2010 John Kelly Awards event and more. Bring ideas and a dish to share. All are welcome to attend!
The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and preservation of our world's oceans, waves and beaches. Founded in 1984 by a handful of visionary surfers, the Surfrider Foundation now maintains over 50,000 members and 63 chapters across the country and around the world.
